The Bolivian Shop Last updated: September 2, 2026
Thank you for shopping with The Bolivian Shop. We do our best to process and ship orders as quickly as possible, while making sure each item is fulfilled correctly.
Where We Ship
We currently ship to addresses within [the United States / the United States and Bolivia — CONFIRM]. Shipping availability may vary by product and destination. If we are unable to ship an item to your address, we will contact you and issue a refund.
Order Processing
Orders are processed after payment is confirmed. Our standard processing time is [X–X business days], not including weekends or holidays. Processing times may vary depending on product availability, sourcing timelines, order volume, and carrier schedules.
Some items may temporarily be out of stock or require additional time before they are ready to ship. If this happens, we will do our best to accommodate your order and ship the item as soon as possible. If there is a significant delay, we will contact you using the email address provided at checkout.
Shipping Times
Shipping times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may vary based on the shipping method selected, destination, product availability, carrier delays, weather, holidays, or other circumstances outside our control.
Estimated transit times are shown at checkout where available. Transit time begins once your order leaves us, not when you place it.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated and displayed at checkout when applicable. The final shipping cost may depend on the item, shipping destination, package size, package weight, and available carrier options.
Food and Perishable Items
Many of our products are food items. Please note the following:
- We ship shelf-stable products only unless otherwise stated. We do not offer refrigerated or temperature-controlled shipping.
- During periods of extreme heat, chocolate, confectionery, and similar items may soften, melt, or change appearance in transit. This is a normal consequence of ambient shipping and is not considered damage. If you are ordering heat-sensitive items in summer, we recommend selecting a faster shipping method and arranging to collect your package promptly on the day of delivery.
- Please bring your package indoors as soon as it arrives. We are not responsible for spoilage caused by packages left outdoors after delivery.
- Check expiration and best-before dates on arrival and store products as indicated on the packaging.
Out-of-Stock Items and Delays
Because inventory and sourcing availability can change, an item may occasionally be out of stock after an order is placed. If an item is delayed due to stock or fulfillment timing, we will make reasonable efforts to complete and ship your order as soon as the item becomes available.
We reserve the right to split shipments, substitute fulfillment methods, or use the best available shipping option when needed to complete your order efficiently. Where we split a shipment, you will not be charged additional shipping.
Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. The Bolivian Shop is not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed delivery, or refusal of delivery, additional shipping charges may apply before the order can be resent. If you choose not to have the order resent, we will refund the product cost less original shipping and any carrier return fees. Perishable items returned to us in this way cannot be refunded.
If you notice an error in your address, contact us immediately at hello@thebolivianshop.com. We can usually correct it before the order ships, but not afterward.
Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Packages
Once an order is transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery is handled by the carrier. We are not responsible for carrier delays or for packages that are lost or stolen after the carrier has marked them as delivered.
If your tracking shows delivery but you have not received the package, we recommend checking with household members and neighbors, and contacting the carrier to open a trace. Contact us at hello@thebolivianshop.com and we will help where we can, including filing a carrier claim on your behalf where the shipment is eligible.
If tracking shows your package has not moved for an extended period, contact us and we will open a claim with the carrier.
Damaged or Wrong Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective, spoiled, leaking, or incorrect, contact us at hello@thebolivianshop.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and its packaging so we can review the issue and make it right.
Keep the original packaging until the issue is resolved — carriers frequently require it to process a damage claim.
International Shipping, Customs, and Duties
International shipping availability may vary by destination and product.
For orders shipped outside the United States, you are the importer of record. You are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges required by your country. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping cost unless stated otherwise at checkout, and they are collected by your government, not by us.
You are responsible for confirming that the products you order may lawfully be imported into your country. Customs authorities may inspect, delay, seize, or destroy shipments at their discretion. Where a shipment is seized, destroyed, or refused entry by customs, we are unable to issue a refund.
Refusing to pay customs charges will result in the package being returned or disposed of by the carrier. In either case, we are unable to issue a refund for perishable goods.
